The Event

FiftyFive5, a leading marketing insights firm with global reach, approached OP events to plan and execute a surprise company-wide milestone birthday party in Sydney.

As a cutting edge marketing agency that uncovers insights and unlocks hidden opportunities we knew we needed a truly unique event venue with an atmosphere of exploration and adventure.

We landed on Shark Island as the perfect backdrop for an exclusive celebration for the FiftyFive5 team. Located in the heart of the Sydney Harbour National Park, the island boasts incredible 360 harbour views, lush grassy areas, hidden coves and a fascinating history ripe for exploration.

Hosting an event on a private island requires complex logistical, safety, security and environmental management, and rigorous stakeholder engagement – our OP event experts were setup for the challenge.

The Result

We took the Fifty-5 team on a journey of surprise and discovery, starting with a luxury catamaran cruise departing from the heart of Sydney to a secret destination – Shark Island.

Upon arrival at the Island the team were greeted with personalised arrival cocktails and an exclusive playground of games, activity stations and treasure hunts to explore and enjoy.

Decorative marquees themed in the company’s iconic vivid orange and black brand colours enclosed fully stocked bars and food stations with savoury, and sweet delights freshly prepared on-island.

And relaxed picnic areas with decorative rugs, deck chairs and low lying tables provided the perfect spot for team members to share stories, bond and take in the glistening harbour surrounds.

We were delighted to gain permission from NSW National Parks to bring this vision to life for our client, and the event outcomes and incredible feedback were certainly worth the time and energy invested.
