  • According to a survey by the Global Destination Sustainability Index, Sydney is the highest-ranked city in the Asia-Pacific region for sustainability, and the 10th highest-ranked city globally. The City of Sydney’s Sustainable Destination Partnership Program and NSW state Government Net Zero Plan set out a goal to reach zero emissions by 2050. To achieve this the city has implemented a range of initiatives to support their carbon reduction goals, including a target of sourcing 100% renewable energy for the city by 2030.
